1. Information we do not collect
We do not require an account, email, or login to use any calculator. Salary, deduction, and filing-status inputs are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit your paycheck inputs to our servers, and we do not store them in any database. If you choose to save calculations locally, they are stored in your browser via localStorage and never leave your device.
2. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit:
- IP address (truncated for analytics), browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size.
- Pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate session duration.
- Country/region derived from your IP address.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar storage mechanisms:
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 (GA4) measures aggregate traffic so we can improve the Site. GA4 uses cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) to distinguish users. - Advertising cookies — once Google AdSense is approved, ad partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads. You can review your choices at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info.
- Functional storage —
localStoragekeys such aspc-theme,pc-recent-states,pc-pinned-states, and recent calculation history are stored only in your browser.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services that may process limited data on our behalf:
- Google Analytics 4 (analytics) — Google Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense (advertising, once approved) — How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
- Hosting and CDN providers used to deliver the Site.
5. Google AdSense & third-party advertising cookies
Once approved, this Site participates in the Google AdSense program. Google and its certified third-party advertising partners may set or read cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies on your browser to:
- Serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other sites (interest-based advertising).
- Measure ad performance, frequency capping, and conversion attribution.
- Detect ad fraud and abuse.
Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie and similar identifiers to enable ad serving across the web. A list of Google's certified ad partners is available on the Google Ad Manager partners page.
Your advertising controls:
- Google Ads Settings — manage or disable personalized ads on Google services and partner sites.
- Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) WebChoices — opt out of interest-based ads from participating US ad networks.
- Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out — opt out of behavioral advertising from member companies.
- YourAdChoices (US) and Your Online Choices (EU) — additional industry opt-out portals.
- Use our to withdraw analytics or advertising consent at any time.
- Browser-level controls — most browsers let you block third-party cookies. See guides for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
Disabling advertising cookies does not remove ads from the Site — it means the ads you see will be less relevant.
6. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information about you directly, most data-subject requests are limited to analytics data. You may, however:
- Opt out of GA4 by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
- Clear cookies and
localStoragethrough your browser settings at any time. - California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
- EEA/UK residents have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, or erase personal data we process.
7. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Data retention
We retain aggregated analytics data for up to 14 months. Locally stored calculations remain in your browser until you clear them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
