This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use US State Paycheck Calculator (the “Site”), how it is used, and the choices you have. We designed the Site to require zero personal information to use the calculators.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not require an account, email, or login to use any calculator. Salary, deduction, and filing-status inputs are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit your paycheck inputs to our servers, and we do not store them in any database. If you choose to save calculations locally, they are stored in your browser via localStorage and never leave your device.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit:

  • IP address (truncated for analytics), browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size.
  • Pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate session duration.
  • Country/region derived from your IP address.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and similar storage mechanisms:

  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 (GA4) measures aggregate traffic so we can improve the Site. GA4 uses cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish users.
  • Advertising cookies — once Google AdSense is approved, ad partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads. You can review your choices at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info.
  • Functional storage — localStorage keys such as pc-theme, pc-recent-states, pc-pinned-states, and recent calculation history are stored only in your browser.

Once approved, this Site participates in the Google AdSense program. Google and its certified third-party advertising partners may set or read cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies on your browser to:

  • Serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other sites (interest-based advertising).
  • Measure ad performance, frequency capping, and conversion attribution.
  • Detect ad fraud and abuse.

Disabling advertising cookies does not remove ads from the Site — it means the ads you see will be less relevant.

No. Every calculation runs entirely inside your browser. Salary, filing status, deductions, and pay frequency are never transmitted to our servers and never written to a database. If you save a calculation, it is stored only in your browser's localStorage and you can clear it at any time from the calculator page.
